Meet the founder
DJ Ravi started DJ Wale in 2012 and has been behind the decks ever since.
He plays every kind of celebration: weddings, sangeets, receptions and nikahs, garba and Diwali nights, anniversaries and baby showers, and corporate galas and conferences. His sets move between Bollywood, Punjabi, Telugu, garba, Top 40 and hip-hop, and he reads the room to decide what comes next, so every generation ends up on the floor.
He's also a dhol player. When the night calls for it, he steps out from behind the decks and plays live, for the baraat, a grand entrance or a mid-night bhangra break.
Meet the co-founder
Kaka G joined DJ Ravi in 2015 and co-founded DJ Wale with him.
He's a DJ, an emcee and a dhol player, so he can run the music, the mic and the drums in the same night. On the mic he keeps the program moving: grand entrances, speeches, games and announcements, kept clean, warm and on schedule, from wedding receptions to conferences like the AMDAANA 46th Annual Conference in Columbus.
When the energy needs a lift, he puts down the mic, picks up the dhol and takes it to the floor.
The team
DJ Ravi on the decks. Kaka G on the mic. Since 2015 they've built DJ Wale side by side, one reading the floor and choosing the next song, the other keeping the program moving and the crowd with it.
How a reception runs
We plan the run of show with you before the date, so every moment has its song and every speaker has their cue.
Dhol, portable sound and the groom's entrance song.
Lighter mixes while guests settle in.
MC intros for the wedding party, with sparks and fog.
Mics, cues and timing handled for every toast.
Your song, your lighting, your moment.
Bollywood to bhangra to hip-hop until the last song.
