Primary topic: mehndi DJ Columbus Ohio

## Summary
DJ Wale plays mehndi, haldi, pithi and mayian events in Columbus and the surrounding area. We bring a compact setup suited to homes, backyards and smaller banquet rooms, with warm Bollywood, Punjabi and folk music, and live dhol when the dancing starts.

## Overview
Mehndi and haldi events are closer and more personal than the reception. The music should feel like a family gathering: songs people sing along to while henna dries, then a few rounds of dancing once everyone is ready.

We size the setup to the space. A basement or backyard does not need the reception rig; it needs clean, warm sound that does not drown out conversation, a microphone for blessings and speeches, and the option to turn it up when the cousins take over.

Because we often play the same family's sangeet and reception, we can keep the songs fresh across the weekend instead of repeating the same set three nights in a row.

## What's included
- **Compact sound:** Right-sized speakers for homes, backyards and small halls.
- **Folk and Bollywood:** Traditional mehndi and haldi songs, sing-alongs and Bollywood favorites.
- **Live dhol:** Dhol for the moment the dancing starts, or for a mayian entrance.
- **Microphone:** Wireless mic for blessings, games and toasts.
- **Decor lighting:** Warm uplighting or string-light-friendly accents for evening events.
- **Weekend planning:** Songs planned across mehndi, sangeet and reception so nothing repeats.

## How a mehndi or haldi runs
1. **Soft start** (Arrival): Gentle Bollywood and folk while guests arrive and the henna artists set up.
2. **Rituals and blessings** (Ceremony): Quiet background music and a microphone for any blessings or pooja.
3. **Turmeric and laughter** (Haldi): Playful haldi and family songs as everyone takes their turn.
4. **Dance** (Party): Dhol and bhangra, garba or Bollywood as the energy picks up.

## Music
Expect traditional wedding folk songs, Punjabi boliyan, Bollywood mehndi numbers and the songs your family always sings at weddings, then bhangra and party tracks when the floor opens.

## Planning tips
- Tell us the space: indoor, outdoor, a garage or a tent. We bring power and weather plans to match.
- Check neighborhood noise rules for backyard events, and plan the loudest dancing earlier in the evening.
- Give us a list of family songs the elders love; they make the event feel like home.

## Frequently asked questions
### Can you set up at our house or backyard?
Yes. We bring a compact system suited to homes, backyards and tents, plus power and weather plans as needed.

### Do you bring dhol to the mehndi?
Yes, if you want it. Live dhol is popular for the mayian entrance and when the dancing starts.

### Can you play the mehndi, sangeet and reception for the same wedding?
Yes, and it helps: we plan the songs across the weekend so each event feels different.

### How loud will it be?
As loud as you want and the space allows. For home events we keep it conversational at first and turn it up when the dancing starts.
