The full guide to Fusion & Multicultural Wedding DJRead more

DJ Wale plays fusion and multicultural weddings in Columbus and within about two hours of it. We blend Bollywood and Punjabi with Top 40, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and classics so both families and all your friends share one dance floor, and our emcee keeps the program clear for every guest.

When two families bring two musical worlds, the DJ has to know both well enough to blend them. A fusion reception should not feel like two separate playlists taking turns.

We mix by energy and tempo, not by genre: a bhangra track can lead into a hip-hop track with the same drive, a Bollywood classic can set up a singalong pop anthem. Guests from both sides end up on the floor together.

Our emcee explains moments that might be new to half the room, such as a garba round or a dhol entrance, so everyone feels invited to join.

How it runs, step by step

  • Two lists: We collect must-play songs from both families and your friends.
  • Both traditions: Audio for one or two ceremonies, with music suited to each.
  • One floor: Entrances, speeches and a blended set that mixes by energy.
  • Everyone dancing: Dhol, bhangra and pop anthems that bring both sides together.

The music

Bollywood, Punjabi and bhangra blended with Top 40, hip-hop, R&B, Latin, country if you want it, and the classics. We plan the mix ratio with you and adjust live to the room.

Planning tips

  • Give us a must-play list from each family and one from your friends.
  • Pick one or two cultural moments to explain on the mic; guests love being included.
  • Choose entrance songs that work for both sides, or one from each.
