Can you emcee the sangeet program?
Yes. Kaka G hosts sangeets in English, Hindi and Punjabi, introduces each performance and keeps the program on time.
How do you handle performance tracks?
We collect them ahead of time, test each file, and build a running order with your planner so every track starts the moment the dancers are ready.
Do you play garba at a sangeet?
Yes. Many of our sangeets include a garba and raas round, especially for Gujarati families, and we can add dandiya sticks to the moment.
Can you provide a projector or LED wall for the slideshow?
Yes. We provide projectors and screens or an LED wall for photo montages, videos and monograms.
Do you cover sangeets outside Columbus?

At a sangeet, DJ Wale handles both the program and the party. Our emcee introduces each family performance, our DJ cues every track on time, and once the performances end we open the floor with Bollywood, bhangra and garba. We serve Columbus and the area within about two hours.
A sangeet lives or dies on timing. Ten family performances, each with its own edited track, a slideshow and a few speeches can drag on for two hours if nobody runs the show. Run well, it is the most fun night of the wedding.
We collect every performance track before the event, check that they play cleanly, and build a running order with your planner. On the night, Kaka G hosts in English, Hindi and Punjabi, introduces each group, keeps the energy up between acts and hands the stage back to the families.
Then the floor opens. Sangeets are where cousins, aunties and college friends all dance together, so the set moves through Bollywood favorites, Punjabi hits, garba and raas and current party tracks.
How it runs, step by step
- Collect tracks: Families send their performance tracks and order; we test every file.
- Welcome set: Light Bollywood and Punjabi favorites as guests arrive and eat.
- Performances: Emcee introductions, cued tracks, stage lighting and quick turnarounds between acts.
- Speeches and surprises: Toasts, a couple's dance, a slideshow and any surprise performances.
- Open floor: Garba and raas rounds, bhangra, Bollywood and party tracks until close.
The music
Sangeet sets lean heavily on Bollywood: wedding songs, old classics for the elders and current hits for the cousins, mixed with Punjabi bhangra and a round of garba or raas for Gujarati families. We also play the performance tracks exactly as your choreographer edited them.
Planning tips
- Send performance tracks as files at least a week ahead, labeled with the group name and order.
- Keep each performance under four minutes; the room stays engaged and you have more time to dance.
- Put the most energetic group last, then open the dance floor straight after.
- Tell us if any performance needs a live microphone or a wireless mic for a singer.
