DJ Wale plays Telugu and South Indian weddings in Columbus and within about two hours of it. Our sets include Telugu hits and dance numbers alongside Bollywood, Punjabi and Top 40, and we provide ceremony audio, sangeet hosting and full reception entertainment.
Telugu weddings bring their own music and their own energy. Guests expect Telugu dance hits on the floor, not a Bollywood set with one Telugu song thrown in.
Telugu is one of the genres we play regularly, and we build the set around it: Telugu dance numbers for the sangeet and reception, with Bollywood, Punjabi and Top 40 for friends and mixed families.
We also handle ceremony audio for long South Indian ceremonies, with clear microphones for the priest and soft instrumental music that does not compete with the rituals.
How it runs, step by step
- Haldi and sangeet: Telugu folk and film songs, performances and dancing.
- Audio: Microphones for the priest and soft instrumentals.
- Entrance: Telugu or Bollywood entrance with cold sparks or CO2.
- Dance: Telugu dance numbers, Bollywood, Punjabi and Top 40.
The music
Telugu dance hits and classics are the core, mixed with Bollywood and Punjabi for North Indian friends and Top 40 for everyone else. Send us your family's must-play list and the songs you want for your entrance.
Planning tips
- Share the ceremony length with us; South Indian ceremonies can run long and need steady, quiet audio.
- Pick entrance songs early so we can plan the effects around the drop.
- Tell us how much Telugu versus other music you want on the dance floor.
